ECHO-Clickers
Three dancers utilize echolocation through a set of special speakers which are mounted on their bodies – creating an extension of their senses. Sound data is transmitted in real time to the speakers, enabling spacial orientation. In Echo Clickers the term “spacial sound” gains a literal realization – the sources of sound are mobile and surround the audience. The bodies outfitted with sound echo locators navigate space and send impulses – drawing on the acoustic vectors of movement. The live music transmitted to the bodies of the dancers becomes the equivalent of a labyrinth creating a choreographic meta-organism.
